Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website and our appliance repair services.
Last updated: 9/21/2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you (“you” or “Customer”) and iFix Appliances, LLC (“iFix Appliances,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply when you use our website, ifixappliancesnc.com, request service, accept an estimate, or receive service from us. By using our website or our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Our Services
We diagnose and repair residential and commercial appliances and provide related services, including HVAC repair and appliance installation and removal, as described on our website. Our technicians perform the service at the address you provide. We serve Raleigh and surrounding areas of North Carolina; availability may vary by location.
2. Estimates, Pricing, and Payment
- Diagnostic fee. A flat diagnostic (service call) fee applies to each visit. We tell you the amount when you book, before the technician arrives.
- If you approve the repair, we apply the diagnostic fee toward the cost of the repair. If you decline the repair, the diagnostic fee covers the technician’s visit and diagnosis.
- Written estimate. After the diagnosis, we give you a written estimate for parts and labor. We do not start a repair without your approval.
- Additional work. If we find that more parts or labor are needed, we will explain why and get your approval before adding them.
- Parts. If a part has to be ordered, we will tell you the expected timing and schedule a follow-up visit to complete the repair.
- Payment. Payment is due when the service is completed, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We accept all major credit cards. Card payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, and you authorize us to charge your card for the agreed amount.
3. Limited Warranty on Parts and Labor
LIMITED WARRANTY. Unless your invoice states otherwise, we warrant the parts we install and our workmanship for 30 days from the date the repair is completed. The warranty covers defects in our workmanship and failure of the parts we installed under normal use. It does not cover:
- Damage from misuse, abuse, accident, or modification or repair by anyone other than iFix Appliances
- Problems that existed before our repair and were not part of the work we performed
- Parts of the appliance we did not repair or replace
- Damage caused by power surges, water or gas supply problems, fire, flood, or other events outside our control
- Repairs that your invoice identifies as not covered by warranty
To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period using the details in Section 15. We will inspect the problem and, at our option, repair it again at no charge or refund the amount you paid for the affected parts or labor. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
4. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Missed Appointments
- You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival window.
- If you cancel later than that, or no one is available at the service address during the arrival window, we may charge a fee of up to the diagnostic fee.
- Arrival windows are estimates. Traffic, weather, and earlier jobs can cause delays; we will keep you updated.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will let you know as early as possible and will not charge you for the change.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about the appliance and the problem
- Make sure an adult (18 or older) is present during the visit, unless we agree otherwise
- Provide safe, clear access to the appliance and the work area
- Tell us about any known hazards before the visit, such as gas leaks, electrical problems, water damage, or pets
- Tell us promptly about any problem with our work so we can address it under the warranty
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of iFix Appliances and our owners, employees, technicians, subcontractors, and agents for any claim arising out of these Terms or our services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, lost profits, food spoilage, or damage to property other than the appliance we serviced. Some states do not allow these limitations; where they are not allowed, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Moving appliances. Diagnosing or repairing an appliance may require us to move, pull out, or reposition it, and you consent to this. Even with reasonable care, moving an appliance can cause incidental damage to floors, walls, cabinets, or the appliance itself. You agree that we are not liable for this kind of incidental damage.
7. Indemnification
Each party will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the other from claims arising out of its own negligence, willful misconduct, or breach of these Terms, subject to the limits in Section 6. This obligation does not cover claims caused by the indemnified party’s own actions.
8. Photos and Video of Our Work
To document our work, support warranty claims, and train our technicians, we may take photos or video of the appliance, its model and serial number plate, and the work area (“Service Media”). We avoid capturing people, personal belongings, or areas of your home beyond the work area unless the service requires it.
We may use Service Media that does not identify you or your address, such as a close-up of a repaired appliance, on our website and social media and in our business listings. We will not publish Service Media that shows you, members of your household, or identifiable parts of your home without your permission, and we do not sell Service Media. You may ask us not to use your Service Media in our marketing at any time by contacting us.
9. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a concern about our work, please contact us first; most issues can be resolved quickly. Any claim that is not resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, or in small claims court if the claim qualifies. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
10. Trademarks and Brand Names
All manufacturer brand names, logos, model numbers, and trademarks mentioned on our website, including Bosch®, Dacor®, DCS®, Frigidaire®, GE®, GE Monogram®, Hotpoint®, Kenmore®, KitchenAid®, LG®, Marvel®, Maytag®, Samsung®, Scotsman®, Sears®, Sub-Zero®, Thermador®, Viking®, Whirlpool®, and Wolf®, are the property of their respective owners. We use them only to identify the appliances we service. Unless a specific page on our website states that iFix Appliances is a factory-authorized service provider for a brand, we are an independent appliance repair company and are not affiliated with, authorized by, sponsored by, or endorsed by these manufacturers. Mentioning a brand does not imply factory certification, manufacturer warranty service, or endorsement.
11. Text Message (SMS) Terms
iFix Appliances service text messages. When you opt in, either online by checking the SMS consent box on the booking form on our Contact page or by phone by agreeing verbally when we ask during your call to book service, you agree to receive service-related text messages from iFix Appliances at the mobile number you provide: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, technician on-the-way updates, follow-ups after your service (including a one-time request to review our service), and answers to your questions.
- Message frequency varies, up to 10 messages per service request.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. After you reply STOP, we may send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.
- For help, you can also call (919) 438-0710 or email ifixappliances.raleighnc@gmail.com.
- Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not a condition of any purchase.
- Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
Mobile opt-in information and SMS consent are not shared with, rented to, or sold to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
12. Electronic Records and Signatures
You agree that we may do business with you electronically. Your electronic signature or electronic acceptance of estimates, service authorizations, invoices, and related documents has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and applicable state law. You may request a paper copy of any document you signed electronically by contacting us.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on our website. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Entire Agreement and Severability
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any written estimate or invoice, are the entire agreement between you and us about our services. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
